Slice Up!

Hello folks and thank you for stopping by Chef’s Corner! When I first had the idea of Chef’s Corner, I wanted it to be more than just a typical blog. Chef’s Corner will be the place you come to learn, share, and engage. I will be posting how to articles, fact based articles, and a variety of other different posts.


I am here to share knowledge, provide opinions and most importantly, LEARN! I can’t stress that enough! I am here to learn from all of you guys. If you feel you have more knowledge on a particular topic, please do not be afraid to leave a comment! Keep in mind, your comments could and will benefit other people who probably have similar questions.


Having said that, I would like to know more about all of you. I am always curious to know what brought you to my site and why. Is knife sharpening a topic that is related to your profession? For example you may be a chef who would like to know more about the best knife sharpeners, or are you just an everyday cook who goes through the annoyance and frustration of blunt knives……arghhh! For me I am neither a chef nor a cook (a pretty bad one actually), but my fascination for having sharp knives comes from my obsession in making fruit and vegetable smoothies…..allow me to explain. Every single morning, the first thing I do upon waking up is prepare myself a smoothie packed with awesome goodness! I’m talking kale, spinach, beets, oranges, apples, pears and anything else I can get my hands on (or my knife through! 🙂 ). It’s pretty awesome to have my knife glide through fruit and vegetable with very minimal effort… makes slicing an art almost! Is it slightly weird that I think that way? Comment below!


Anyhow, let’s get back to the point and avoid getting sidetracked. What type of topics would you like to see discussed or posted on Chef’s Corner? Would you like to see more on knife sharpening and the different tools and techniques available or would you prefer to see posts discussing specific sharpeners e.g. Chef’s Choice, Smith’s etc. Please comment below!


Since this post is an introduction or welcome of sorts, I was hoping to keep it relatively short, so i’ll end here by saying thank you so very much for checking my site out!   2. My profession has nothing to do with cooking lol, BUT seriously who doesn’t enjoy preparing a fresh smoothie in the morning and cooking a light meal for dinner? Regarding your question, tomatoes probably give me the most grief. Keep me posted on your new articles! Cheers
